Fonotune describes itself as... "an electric fairytale set during a single strange day in an undefined future. It follows the street hooker Stereo, the lo-fi cowboy Analog and the wordless drifter Mono on their odyssey through a weird world, as they deliver a cassette tape to a mysterious person. They have all kinds of strange encounters, but as mankind has grown indifferent to what’s happening around them, one major thing seems to have gone unnoticed: it’s the last day on earth."

Fonotune has the following warning... "THIS IS A SLOW ARTHOUSE MOVIE WITH VERY FEW DIALOGUE. MAKE SURE YOU ARE IN THE MOOD FOR IT." Though to help set said mood, you have a soundtrack by Electric Eel Shock, Stereo Total, Antoni Maiovvi, Nackt, and Guitar Wolf. Also, Guitar Wolf Seiji is one of the stars, making his triumphant return to the big screen after over twenty years (he was last seen in 1997's The Sore Losers), as well as Kazushi Watanabe (best known as The Visitor in Takashi Miike's Visitor Q).

Oh, and one more thing... you're basically not gonna see another film anywhere else that is as drop dead gorgeous. If you have a thirst for graphic design, then after all is said & done, Fonotune will make you jonesing for a can of SODA+.
