The FORT90 FILM CLUB is back in 2022 with a new “floating” time-slot (meaning, it won't be just the last Monday of a month) and also split across multiple weeks once again (which may or may not be a permanent thing). Also there's a new start time, 8PM.

So it seems only appropriate that for this month, when things are kinda/sorta different this time in general, that the theme itself be about time. We're not talking about time travel movies per say, it's just... about time. "Part 1" will include...

RUN LOLA RUN - It's the late 90s experimental film from Germany that became a surprise box office smash internationally (relatively speaking) that was every art school kid's first DVD when the format came out in 99. Basically a woman's partner owes money to a very bad man, and is about to do a bad thing to quickly earn said money, so she has 20 minutes to run over and formulate a plan. There are multiple possibilities and multiple outcomes, which the film vividly illustrates.

THE LITTLE GIRL WHO CONQUERED TIME- Also known as The Girl Who Leapt Through Time, this the first of three feature length adaptations of a popular novel in Japan, this one helmed by Nobuhiko Obayashi; if you're familiar with Hausu, then you should know what to expect. The plot revolves around a junior high school student who is able to repeat the same day over and over again. If you're not only a fan of time travel in movies but the abstract action of traveling time itself, then this is an absolute must watch.

THE GIRL FROM TOMORROW - It's actually a film but that is a compilation reel of the first season of a sci-fi children's show from Australia. The premise involves a scientist from the year 3000 who travels back to the year 2500 to investigate an event that nearly ended the world. But things fly off the rails when a criminal from the years 2500 hijacks the scientist's time machine and takes the scientist's student hostage; both travel to the year 1990, where the student befriends a girl from that time period.
