For git users that know the basics, but want to level-up to collaborate more easily and better understand git.
Git is the distributed version control system that has radically changed software development since it was introduced in 2005. If you already know the basics of using git, but want to know more, come to this intermediary workshop! Recommended: attendees have used git before, and have done some or most of the following: * cloned a git repository * looked at git status * made a commit in git * pushed changes back to a repository In this workshop, we'll cover the following: * branches and merging * pull requests * rewinding history * understanding git's underlying model * graphical viewers * resolving merges Please bring a laptop with git installed if you would like to follow along and/or take notes.
