K.C. Raniero (of K.C. Raniero & The Failed Talking Stages; Funeral Doors)
K.C. Raniero is a singer/songwriter/pianist creating music at the intersection of pop and R&B. Referring to her genre as "gothic r&b", she independently released her debut album, Toxic Phantom, on Halloween of last year. She is currently promoting the album on tour. With a background in pop punk, K.C. grew up finding inspiration in bands like My Chemical Romance, Paramore, Panic! at the Disco, and Yellowcard. These days she cites Waterparks, Coin, Bad Suns, and Arrows in Action as her primary inspirations. K.C. can also be found appearing in off-Broadway productions, playing drums as a session musician, producing EDM under a pseudonym, writing poetry, and visually interpreting her own music via abstract art.
Kyle Duke (of Kyle Duke & The Brown Bag Boys; BKRN Love)
Kyle Duke is a Brooklyn-based songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist. The first release from Kyle Duke and The Brown Bag Boys since 2020's Cyst EP, "Inbred" follows the previous release’s path toward the heavier side of underground rock. Drenched in hazy neo-psychedelia reminiscent of the band’s debut Snack Time EP, the new single's slacker rock verse gives way to a sludgy, riffing chorus that matches the visceral apathy of its lyric. Duke first wrote much of "Inbred" crashing at home between tours with various New York bands in 2018 and 2019; after a run of shows he would stay inside his apartment for days feeling beat down by weeks of the DIY road grind. Ironically, KD would go on to finish writing and ultimately recording the single at Carriage House Studios in Stamford, CT during a forced 18-month hiatus from touring due to the COVID-19 pandemic, providing a much darker and more widely relatable context to the song’s themes of isolation and frustration. Recently, KD has been on the road across the US and Canada playing guitar in Brkn Love, an alternative rock outfit fronted by Toronto songwriter Justin Benlolo. KD has also co-produced, mixed, and occasionally mastered recent singles and EPs from Tummyache, SaintAhmad, Vanderwoolf, and Nepenthe.
Teena (of Blue Lush Band)
With her vocal influences ranging from the Disco Queen Donna Summer to the pop-punk stylings of Paramore’s Hayley Williams, Teena brings audible diversity to the table like no other with her new single, “Not This Time.” Her emotive ways bring the track to life and help usher in a wave of pop that is not afraid to abandon the rules of the expected. “Not This Time” follows the success of “What If We Kissed?” which has racked up more than 20,000 Spotify streams since its 2019 release.
Teena was just 18 when she started playing around with GarageBand loops. Always one to experiment with sounds and styles, she soon realized her infatuation with upbeat moving bass-lines could be something more. She dropped her first track, “Get Down,” on Soundcloud not too long after and in January 2019 released her debut, ‘Cranberry.’ Her first started to solidify her name in the music scene. So much so she was able to head west to Los Angeles where she played the infamous Viper Room on the Sunset Strip but Teena is no stranger to those types of venues as she has been on stage at The Well, The VNYL, Muchmore’s, and The Knitting Factory as well. She also opened for pop singer Aaron Carter in December 2019 at Revolution Music Hall.
