Unlike most films involving an individual with disabilities, in which the story is some hackneyed Hollywood feel good tripe, Late Bloomer instead paints a purposely uncomfortable portrait of a man tormented by an uncooperative body, and the effect it can have on the mind.
The brutally honest depiction of a marginalized individual who is frustrated by his inability to meet society's wants & needs, as well as vice versa, will unquestionably make some feel very comfortable. Please be advised: in addition to depictions of intense violence, individuals with photosensitive epilepsy should also proceed with caution.
